SECOND HALF OF 2024

Painting with my friends the Seattle Plein Aires group at Discovery Park.  The first painting I was trying to capture the sense of shadows where I was sitting and the grove of trees at the bottom of the hill.

I also wanted to capture some of the structures and officers homes in the park.  Relics of the World War I fort and the government.

Usk Seattle was celebrating their 15th anniversary sketch outing going back to Fisherman's Terminal where the first outing took place.

Afterwards we had a drink and draw at Figurehead Brewing.
The second annual Sketcher Fest Edmonds was a fun three days of sketching, teaching and hanging out with all these sketchers...some world class talent.

Small demos from my workshop on Journey Sketching as my group walked up Main Street.

The test demo for Journey Sketching

Demo from my Clouds and Sky workshop

Sketching some of the workshops and talks at Graphite

Before Sketcher Fest all the workshop teachers and some of the volunteers took a morning cruise on the Ice Cream Boat from Fisherman's Terminal to Lake Washington.  These were quick sketches because the boat was continually moving

After Sketcher Fest many of us went over to the peninsula and Port Townsend, stopping for a sketch in Port Gamble.
